Have you ever considered running for public office? Then “You Should Run” program is for you.
You Should Run is a nonpartisan program, providing training on the mechanics of running for office. Hosted by former City Council Woman, Karen Stratton, this training program involves subject matter experts. The overarching goals are to help the community understand the importance of being equally represented, breakdown assumptions about running for office, mitigate fear, provide participants with cutting edge campaign tools, and give you the opportunity to imagine yourself in office. Their trainers will be a premier team of community leaders, advisors, and staff.

The 2024 Neighborhood Clean-Up Program once again includes disposal passes! The Disposal Pass Program is designed to help residents in the City of Spokane remove extra waste by distributing $25 passes, valid at the Waste to Energy Facility.
Southgate has 20 passes that are available now and will be distributed first-come, first-served. If you would like a disposal pass, please email: southgatecouncil@gmail.com with your request, including your name and address. Passes will be mailed to the first 20 people to request a pass living within the Southgate Neighborhood. Passes are valid for 30 days.
Additional passes will be distributed at our September neighborhood meeting. Watch for details on meeting time and location (we should announce our new meeting space soon).
